General Membership Meeting Minutes
November 15, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm with 23 members present.

All officers were present

The minutes from the previous meeting were read and accepted.

The treasurer’s report was read and accepted.

Recognition of new members-

There were 3 new members sworn in.

Reports of accidents sickness and death-

It was reported that Aaron Pollock was injured and that

Ed Patzynskis step brother passed away.

Presidents Report –

The president’s grievance summary is as follows –

2 sick time conference grievances denied and being submitted.
Vacation denial and being submitted.
Disciplinary letter heard October 24th
Contractor working overtime grievance heard November 13th
Outside lighting transfer scheduled for November 19th.

Arbitration summary –

Discipline issue heard October 12th Granted.
Discharged employee scheduled for Dec 17th.

Other Business under the President’s report-

Congratulations to new officers and stewards
Thank to the election committee and Don for their hard Work.
You can enroll in an FSA until the end of the year.
Continued rumors of people being watched. Be where you are supposed to be.
Meeting With the University to discuss Sick time issues.
Having trouble getting the Website updated. Please continue to send big buck photos sent in.
Sole employee appreciation. Wants to thank the other unions on campus.

Committee report-

The scholarship committee reported that the-Quilt drawing will be tonight.

Unfinished business –

M-works - watch what you are signing make sure you tell them you are only releasing info pertaining to the particular injury.

New Business –

December will be a combined meeting.

There was a motion to suspend normal business unless there is something urgent to discuss and have a party with food and beverages. The motion was seconded and the motion passed.

There was a motion to give the secretaries a holiday Bonus. The motion was seconded and the motion was approved.

There was a public thanks to Brent and Skip for serving on the Union Board and all their hard work.

The quilt drawing was held and the winners were.
