General Membership Meeting

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm with 47 members present.

The minutes from the previous meeting were waived via motion due to the recording secretary’s absence.

The treasurer’s report was read and accepted.

Bob Melise and Keith O’Neil wasn’t present.

Recognition of new members –

There were 2 new members sworn in

Reports of accidents sickness and death –

It was reported that-

Presidents Report –

The presidents Grievance summary is as follows –

• MM doing rooftop unit maintenance in violation of previous agreement. Heard
• Written reprimand for not responding to on-call. Heard
• Foreman doing laborer work. Granted
• CV Plumber worked. Heard
• MM changing ballasts at the hospital. Tomorrow
• Refusal to pay on-call. Tomorrow

Arbitrations-

• Arbitration BMET in unit heard 7/24. Still waiting on decision.
• Proper remedy for ballast violation 10/23
• Discharge LTD refusal. May 8th

Other Business under the president’s report –

• Steward elections
• ULP filed over GPS installation.
• ULP filed over hospital employee evaluations. Currently scheduled 10/17
• Special conference to discuss interstitials confined space entry.
• Special conference to discuss MM AC Mechanic overlap at hospital.
• Special conference to discuss Movers doing laborer and expediter work.
• Dinner Dance.
• Office will move around corner of building. Next to 252.
• FMLA if anyone receives a letter please report any letters to Ken.

There was no unfinished business to discuss.

New Business –

 There was discussion with regards to the team leader position in utilities.

There was also discussion about Contract vendor apprentices working here at the University.

The jacket drawing was held and Danny Black wasn’t present so $20.00 more goes into the pocket.
